H.O.T., the K-pop idol group from the 1990s, will be holding their first concert since they split up in 2001. The concert will be in October at the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul. The group, which debuted in 1996, had many hits and its five albums sold at least 1 million copies each.
H.O.T., aka High-five of Teenagers, consisted of Moon Hee-joon, Kangta, Lee Jae-won, Tony An and Jang Woo-hyuk. They were the pioneers of “hallyu,” or the Korean Wave, which refers to the spread in international popularity of South Korean culture. The group’s most notable songs are: “Candy,” “We Are the Future,” “Wolf and Sheep,” “I Yah!” and “A Song for Lady.”
