The Korean Cinema series at the Doris Duke Theatre is set for Sept. 2-23 with a lineup of films that will please Hawaii audiences. The series is presented by the Korea Foundation and sponsored by KBFD-TV.
The opening-night reception Sept. 2 will feature O’Kim’s contemporary cuisine paired with Korean soju cocktails and Korean traditional dance starting at 6 p.m. The opening-night film will either be “Warriors of the Dawn” or “Taxi Driver.”
Other films screening include “The Mayor,” “The Net,” “Right Now, Wrong Then,” “On the Beach Alone,” “Our Love Story,” “Gook” and “Anarchist From Colony.”
